NBA Secures $9 Million Verdict for Toy Inventors

January 29, 2020

On December 19, 2019, after a two-week trial, a jury returned a verdict in favor of NBA’s client, Rehco, and against Spin Master, finding that Spin Master had breached its prior contract with Rehco regarding toy helicopters and had willfully infringed U.S. Patent No. 7,100,866 via its flying auto-hover toys.  The total amount of the jury’s verdict was over $9 million dollars.  The verdict came after a six and a half year battle between the parties.  A copy of the verdict can be access here.

Rehco was represented by NBA attorneys Tim Grochocinski, Eric Albritton, and Joseph Oldaker.
